"Managing Flood Risk with Hydrologic Warning Systems" NHWC Texas 2012 Training Workshop September 18, 2012 Rockwall, TX (On Lake Ray Hubbard, just east of Dallas) The 2012 NHWC Texas 2012 Training Workshop will be held the day before the Texas Floodplain Management Association (TFMA) Fall Conference at the same hotel, providing the opportunity to participate in both events. Continuing Education Credits (CECs) will be available for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs). This one-day workshop is sponsored by the National Hydrologic Warning Council (NHWC) and the Texas Floodplain Management Association (TFMA) and is designed for: Owners and operators of high hazard dams and levees, River authorities, Emergency managers, Floodplain managers, Flood control districts, Public works officials, Drainage and flood control engineers, Owners and operators of existing hydrologic warning systems, and any others who have a need to better understand the benefits of hydrologic warning systems in managing flood risk.
